Custodial history
Scope and content
The fonds consists of photographs and textual records created by the Young Men's Christian Association of Metropolitan Toronto. The textual records consist of a scrapbook relating to World War I and some publications. The photos consist of gelatin prints depicting Y.M.C.A. facilities, athletic activities and military training for World War I. A number were taken in England, and show recreational activities of soldiers, including highland games. There is a portrait of Prime Minister Robert Borden with Y.M.C.A. troops.
