Scope and content
The photograph shows three members of the Young Actors' Theatre group in their production of 1837: The Farmers' Revolt. There were 8 high school students selected to work with Guelph's professional company through a Young Canada Works federal grant: Anna Bortolon, Eric Coates, Alan Dearnley, John Devorski, Denise Gismondi, Debbie Hale, Andrea Richardson, and Lloyd Woods. The students worked for eight weeks to develop two children's plays but 1837: the Farmers' Revolt was their final project.
