History
WPCA began in 1976 as a botanical slide and negative collection and has grown to include albums, glass plates, magic lantern slides, 35mm and larger negatives, photographs in both film negatives and digital scans. Where appropriate, some collections are placed in their original location via local or regional museums and archives. Every attempt is made to catalog, label and store in appropriate containers. Our most recent acquisition and scans are from the early 1900's,a 400+ Magic Lantern Slide set of a Toronto Missionary in the Far East.
