    Biographical history

    Victoria Gray was born May 24, 1923 in Guelph Ontario. She attended local schools in the area and would later study at the Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Victoria worked as a secretary for the Department of Horticulture at the Ontario Agricultural College MacDonald Institute. At one point during her life she taught night school at Guelph Collegial Vocational Institute (GCVI), secretarial courses at Conestoga College and was employed at the University of Guelph.

    She was a noted soprano, vocalist and participated in a number of vocal competitions such as the Dominion-wide Kiwanis Music Festival in Toronto and the Niagara Falls Musical Festival where she ranked among the best at these competitions. Victoria also put her musical talents to use on stage and participated in productions of the Guelph Little Theatre. She died April 21, 2005 at 81 years of age.

    Custodial history

    These records were held by Victoria Gray until her death in 2005. Later that year, her estate donated these records to the Guelph Public Library Archives.
