Biographical history
Tony Van Bridge (Valentine Anthony Neil Bridge), actor/director, was born in London England in 1917. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1938. Van Bridge arrived in Canada in 1954 where he performed in both television and radio. Van Bridge performed at the Stratford Festival for 15 years. He also acted at the Shaw Festival for many years and was acting artistic director from 1974-75. Throughout his career he toured in the UK, United States and Canada.
