Collection was given to Madeleine McDowell by Ted McGaffin after attending one of Madeleine's Heritage walks. The material was intended for the creation of pamphlets and guide materials for use with future walks, as well as Heritage York's collection.

Scope and content

Collection consists of a selection of digitized photographs from the personal collection of Ted McGaffin. Depicted are various scene of Hurricane Hazel and its aftermath, predominately in the area of Woodbridge; the McLean house on St. Marks Rd in Warren Park; and the Parker Barber Shop which was located at the southwest corner of Jane & Dundas. The Parker Barber Shop was owned by McGaffin's step-grandfather, George Wilson.
