Administrative history
St. Andrew's United Church, located at 712 Wellington Street East in Sault Ste. Marie, was established in 1925, formerly Presbyterian. In 1866, a group of families began St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, meeting in an old school house. A church building was constructed in 1875. It moved to its current location in 1907. The congregation joined the United Church of Canada in 1925. A fire damaged the church builiding in 1941 and restorations took place that year. It is still an active congregation of the United Church of Canada.
