The Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC) was first formed in 1903 as the Canadian Army Service Corps; the "Royal" designation was added in 1919. The RCASC was responsible for providing transport and supplies.

Fonds consists of photographs of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps Trials on Tractor Trains held in the Churchill, Manitoba area during the winter of 1947-1948. Also included are aerial shots of the various camps in the Churchill area.
