        History

        Archibald Pride was the Curator of the University of Toronto Biology Museum. Pride was born in Dublin, Ireland September 25, 1845. According to census data, Pride immigrated to Canada sometime in the 1870s. He married Margaret Rosbourough and they had four children: Agnes, Margaret, Archibald Wilson, and William John. Pride died November 26, 1923 in Toronto. On his death registration, he was listed as a Curator, Natural Arts & Science.

        His son, Archibald Wilson Pride may have been responsible in part of for the February 14, 1890 fire at the University of Toronto.
