Administrative history
The Pierian Club was a study group in Dundas, Ontario who took their name from Alexander Pope: "A little learning is a dangerous thing. Drink deep, or taste not, the Pierian Spring." Its members included well-known Dundas citizens of the day.
Custodial history
The custodial history of the fonds is unknown, although it may have been in the possession of Sara Grafton, a President of the Dundas Historical Society, who donated it to the Museum.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of membership handbooks, receipts, a list of membership fees paid, a calendar of 1904 with corrections, and a minute book.
