      Thomas Harry Meredith Phillips-Conn (1881-1962) was a solicitor as well as the overseas manager for Leyland Motors, Ltd., and a member of the Irish Bar.

      Phillips-Conn was born in Reading, Berkshire, on April 28, 1881, as Thomas Harry Meredith Phillips, to Highgate Henry Phillips, a surgeon and Justice of the Peace, and Fanny Meredith Phillips. Highgate Henry Phillips succeeded to the Mount Ida Estates in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland, after the death of his uncle by marriage, John Lambly Conn, in 1893. The family assumed the additional surname and arms of Conn by Royal Licence on July 4, 1894.

      T.H.M. Phillips-Conn married Miss Edith M. Withers in Ormskirk in Lancashire in 1913. Phillips-Conn died on 27 May 1962 at London, 56 Bedford Gardens, England, and was cremated privately.
