    Administrative history

The Parish of Aylmer consists of three churches and formerly included one other. Christ Church, Aylmer was established in 1842 and the church was completed in 1845. St. Luke's, Eardley began as an outstation of Onslow with services held in a log schoolhouse from 1854 to 1871 near the site of the present church building completed in 1874. In 1857, a site was donated in Quyon for a church and burial ground and St. John the Evangelist, Quyon was consecrated in 1862. St. Augustine's, Lower Eardley (later Breckenridge) was opened and consecrated in 1881, but secularized in 1971 and sold the following year.
