Part of Sudbury Star
One image of the first prize-winning float in the Lions Club parade on Dominion Day in Sudbury, Ontario. The float, drawn by two horses, depicts a battlefield scene in which a wounded soldier is given a blood transfusion and on the side of the float is a sign that reads, "Blood Donors Urgently Needed Call and Register To-Day at 154 Elm St. E. Registrations From 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M."
