The Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies acts as an advocate for all provincial Children's Aid Societies for working towards increasing financial support, coordinates the efforts of societies in various actions, and distributes news and information.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of administrative, conference, and other records of the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies. Included are minutes of Board of Directors meetings and other Board working records. Fonds also includes records arising from conferences, including annual conferences, regional conferences and local directors conferences. Also included are memoranda to societies, surveys, handbooks, briefs, reports, government publications, speeches. Fonds also contains records relating to: the Ontario Welfare Council, the Simcoe county C.A.S./County Council dispute, a foster parents conference, foster care, the Agency Relations Committee of the Ontario Association of Psychiatric Social Workers, the Ontario Association of Family Service Agencies, and the Alliance of Voluntary Agencies involved in Service to Children.
