Nicholas Roche (1866-1932) was a student of St. Basil's Seminary, Toronto, 1895-1897, priest of the Congregation of St. Basil, teacher at St. Michael's College, Toronto, founding Superior of St. Thomas High School, Houston, Texas, Superior of St. Michael's College, Toronto (1910-1911), Provincial of The Basilians Fathers (1911-1916), appointed to St. Michael's College, 1922, member of the General Council of the Congregation 1930-1932, pastor and educator. He was Superior when the Sisters of St. Joseph and Loretto sought to have their female students study for their Bachelor of Arts degree though St. Michael's College.
