Biographical history

Mary Jacqueline Rosevear was born in Port Hope, Ontario to John MacDonald Rosevear (1875-1967) and Anne Cochrane Russell (1884-1963). She attended both elementary and high school in Port Hope, and remained in the area for most of her life. Jacqueline Rosevear died on 20 Dec 2011, and is buried in Port Hope Union Cemetery.

Custodial history

Donation was kept in the possession of M. Jacqueline Rosevear until her death in 2011. It was transferred from her lawyers' office to an appraisal and estate agent, and then donated to the Port Hope Archives, 2012.

Scope and content

Fonds consists of the records of M. Jacqueline Rosevear, created between 1920-1980. It has been arranged into five series: Newspaper Clippings; Family Documents; School Papers; Voters' List, 1966; and Photographs.
