Administrative history
Olde Tyme Christmas had its beginning as a festival in 1971. The initial Concept was to turn back the town clock 100 years. And to celebrate Christmas as it might have been at the time - simpler, more personal, warmer... Thus Olde Tyme Christmas began and continues to be a source of fun, involvement, spririt, tradition and those qualities which bind people together to maintain a living community. (Olde Tyme Christmas Programme, 1987)
