The Research Services Sous-fonds consists of records relating to publications, presentations, workshops, reports, “in the news” articles, and research reports and documentation.

The Student Association sous-fonds contains records relating to the function of the association for University of Ontario Institute of Technology students. The Aboriginal Resource Centre sous-fonds, under the Indigenous Student Services department, contains records related to publications and activities for and about indigenous students attending University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

The scope of Indigenous Education and Cultural Services (IECS) to protect and preserve the Archival records of IECS. IECS offers cultural workshops and programming to educate indigenous and non-indigenous students, faculty and staff members at University of Ontario Institute of Technology and the community. In the university's journey towards reconciliation, it is important that we have educational tools to help us treat Indigenous guests and the communities around us with respect.

Any departmental documents will be included in the Archives collection as appropriate and transferred from the department. NOTE: As of October, 2010, Debbie McKee Demczyk, Director, Office of Research Services and Innovation, informed Carol Mittlestead, Associate Librarian, that KPI data will no longer be forwarded to the Archives. This was due to the issues relating to public access of online information. The College was required to provide college-level KPI results publicly, and this was available on the Durham College web site. The KPI project began in 1999.

Sous-fonds consists of newspaper articles (original and transcribed), photographs, one oil painting created by Mrs. Margery Greenwood, several political cartoons, and other reference materials related to 1st Viscount Greenwood. Various photographs of the Viscount are also included. Finally, there is material and correspondence relating to the planning and celebration of various functions held in Greenwood's honour in Whitby, ON.
