This series consists of the administrative records created and/or retained by the Springfield School Board.
The records include attendance forms, correspondence, Trustees' Declarations, newspaper advertisements and notices, and motions and resolutions.
Records relating to the construction of the Aldborough School Section No. 1 building in 1914. The records were created by John T. Findlay, Architect, St. Thomas. Fonds has been divided into the following series:

Photographs and letters written by Alma Pearl McMullin, a teacher at the Talbotville Public School (Southwold School Section Number 6) from 1939-1944. Fonds includes class photographs of her students, and letters that she sent to her boyfriend at the time, W.L. "Jimmy" Ward. At the time, teachers had to resign on marriage. Alma and Jimmy were married in July 1944.

Fonds consists of records and research files on schools in East Elgin compiled by Evelyn McNeil for a 2006 publication entitled "Evolution of Schools: From Quill to Computer". This fonds is comprised primarily of secondary sources, but also includes some original records relating to the teaching career of Mrs. McNeil.

Fonds contains records created or collected by the Fritz family relating to Alma College. Includes personal records belonging to Betty Smith, a student from 1941-1945, and Mary Louise Fritz, a student from 1954-1955. Also includes a photograph album and photographic negatives compiled by Bernice Fritz (nee Eilber), who was a student from 1928-1930. Fonds also contains miscellaneous documents and ephemera relating to Alma College, ca. 1932-2015.

Series consists of attendance registers and other documents relating to School Section No. 4, River Road.
In September of 1966 several former students and teachers held a meeting to discuss plans for a grand reunion of all students and teachers to be held in 1967 before the building was demolished. Early in 1967, a commemorative coin was commissioned to celebrate the event as well as raise additional funds for the reunion. The reunion was held on August 4-7, 1967.
The fonds consists of photographs and correspondence, publicity materials, a commemorative coin and its casting, and a rubber stamp.

This fonds would be of interest to researchers studying the architecture of old schools, the actual reunion of St. Thomas Collegiate Institute in 1967, and the lives of students and former teachers that were associated with this school. The pictures provide a pictorial of what times were like for the school over the years and also the attendees at the reunion.
