Fonds contains the technical and operational files relating to the Canadian Marconi Co./Canadian Overseas Telecommunications Corporation operation of the Yamachiche wireless receiving station in Yamachiche QC, 1913-1973. It includes correspondence 1925-1931, some operational files, technical files on wireless receivers at the station and blueprints of receiver schematics 1934-1952; manuals and instruction books for receivers made by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Co., Canadian Marconi Co., Hasler Ltd., Northern Electric Co., Philips Telecommunications etc., 1942-1964. Operational files from the Canadian Overseas Telecommunications Corp. which include its corporate memos and procedures and various types of weekly and monthly technical reports, 1955-1971. A selection of logs for telegraph, telephone and graphs for wireless circuits to major cities in Europe, Asia and South America, 1963-1973. Also trade literature and catalogues produced by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd. and other manufacturers, 1927-1963.
Yamachiche Wireless Receiving StationFonds consists of advertisement printing proofs, invoices, handwritten notes, and correspondence originally belonging to William Furby, printer and owner of the Port Hope Gazette, c1830-1850. Furby, WilliamItem is a poster originally pasted on the back the handwritten words of what the poster was to read in regards to the stolen animal. The poster was commissioned by William Berry, 3rd Concession of Hope Township. Comments on poster indicate that 50 were printed and the cost was $1.50. This piece is believed to be a printer's proof.

Item is an Auction Poster, 1837. James Smith, agent for Thomas Gibbs Ridout. Auction held May 20, 1837 for fifty town lots in the Ridout Street Area. Thomas Gibbs Ridout was the son of Thomas Ridout, PLS and the manager of the Bank of Upper Canada.
Furby, WilliamItem is a book which was presented as an award. The book plate reads "This prize for proficiency in bookkeeping was presented to John S. Gibson a pupil in the United Grammar of Common Schools, Port Hope, Dec 24th 1866." The book includes maps and illustrations.
Item is a cookbook entitled "The Mixing Bowl." It was printed in 1931 as a fundraiser for St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. The booklet is 40 pages long and contains recipes and advertising from local Port Hope businesses.

It also includes correspondence on letter head from the residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II, Balmoral Castle, Hearth & Home Magazine, Eden-Palace Hotel (France), Hotel Angst (Italy), Stuart Family (Ballintruan), Murray Hill Hotel (New York), Hotel Continental (France), Hotel Bella Vista (Italy), Hotel de France et Pension Anglaise (Italy), Palace Hotel (Scotland), Hotel Victoria (London); as well as, a Christmas card "Woodlands and Pastures Bare," "The Complexion: It's Care." by Mrs. Pomeroy (addressed to Mrs. Stuart Grant), Telegram and information booklet for Saloon Passengers per Dominion Line Royal Mail S.S. "Vancouver," 1897 (Josephine Stuart-Grant and Victoria were on board), and several other birthday and holiday cards.

Port Hope Sesquicentennial Planning CommitteeThe Gilbert Parker fonds consists of three folders. The first contains pieces of correspondence, primarily to Col. W.N. Ponton. Amoung the items he sent to Ponton were two propogandist pamphlets by Reverend H.M. Gwatkin and William Arhcer respectively. The second folder contains two of his publications, of which the poem "Was it Some Golden Star" was put to music by Edward Elgar, and two publications directed towards the United States with the aim of bringing them into World War 1 on the British side. The final folder contains items from the Gilbert Parker Banquet in 1902 with items including a menu and an invitation.
