Part of Mirha-Soleil Ross fonds

This series consists of records related to Yapping Out Loud, an hour-long series of character-based monologues on sex work written by Mirha-Soleil Ross. Yapping Out Loud was performed by Ross (in part or whole) multiple times; notable performances include April 26 - May 6, 2002, as a part of the MayWorks festival, and November 23 - December 5, 2004 at Buddies in Bad Times theatre. During both of these performances she was accompanied by Reena Katz on violin and a “video environment” created by Mark Karbusicky. A published recording of the 2002 Mayworks performance exists; there are multiple copies among this collection and it continues to be distributed by V-Tape. Included in the records are scripts, drafts, working notes, publicity materials, correspondence, annotated books, audiovisual materials, and a substantial number of artifacts (consisting of props and costumes used in Yapping Out Loud performances).
