This photograph shows the inside of the A. W. Smith and Sons Jewelers shop. The manager at the time was Al Snider. Staff listed are Debbie Shody, Marion Thurston, Stella Daley, and Jean McWaters. The store had been open for 78 years, since 1897 and was located at 120 Upper Wyndham Street.

The Progress Issue was an annual publication in the Mercury that featured local businesses and industry professionals within Guelph and Wellington County.
