Fonds consists of fifty-five 8 x 10 black and white glass-plate negatives showing scenes in Aylmer, Ontario and East Elgin County, 1913-1936, including interior and exterior views of businesses and residences and portraits of prominent citizens.
Smith, WilfredThe Burwell Family fonds is primarily comprised of the peronal and buisness papers of Hannibal Burwell (1825-1886), his son, Alfred E. Burwell (1871-1943) and his daughter Hannah Alberta Eliza Burwell (1864-1929), later Mrs. David Williams.
•There are 20 related artifacts including two family bibles, a portable writing desk belonging to Hannibal's father, Mahlon Burwell (1783-1846), a prominent surveyor, Justice of the Peace and MLA, Albert Burwell's South Africa War medals and volunteer service medals and a portrait of Mahlon's daughter Louisa Burwell (1818-1834).

Fonds contains a collection of diaries created by Charles "Charlie" Smith Baker, who lived in Belmont, Ontario for over 57 years. Fonds also contains a rough draft of manuscript titled "Charlie: Memoirs of a Belmont Farmboy" written by D.A. Sale, which summarizes Charlie's life and each of his diaries. Fonds also includes miscellaneous material including correspondence, ephemera, newspaper clippings and photographs.
