Collection consists of posters designed by Will Munro for events organized by him at various venues in downtown Toronto. Posters employ a variety of media and processes, including silkscreen and photocopies. Some of these posters were featured in Will Munro: Total Eclipse, July 31 – September 26, 2010, part of the Toronto Now series of exhibitions at the AGO. Silk-screening of many of the posters was carried out by Michael Comeau.

Records in this series document a number of METRAC's projects in the 1990s, including its involvement with the May-Iles inquest and other legal cases, public safety audits for the Royal Bank and the Toronto Transit Commission, an Ontario Women's Justice Network project, and the production of METRAC publications on stalking and domestic violence. Series consists of amateur and professional photographs taken and accumulated by Jean Augustine during her personal and professional life in Canada. This series documents Augustine's personal and family life in Grenada and Canada from the 1940s through to 2005, including her emigration to Canada, her social activities as a young woman in Toronto, her life as a young mother, social activist, teacher and student. Photographs also document her early involvement in the 1970s and 1980s in community movements, cultural events, social justice and political organizations, as well as her professional career as an elementary school teacher and principal in the Metropolitan Separate School Board, her activities as part of Premier David Peterson's 'transition team' in 1985 and her work as chair of the Metro Toronto Housing Authority. Events documented include the election campaign of American politician Jesse Jackson, the earliest celebrations of the Caribana parade in Toronto, women's rights events and protests, and local Black History Month celebrations. Photographs also document Augustine's activities as a federal politician, including her activities on Parliament Hill, her administration of federal committees and the Secretariats of Multiculturalism (later Multiculturalism and Status of Women), as well as her election campaigns (including door-to-door campaigning; fund raising; speeches; debates and promotion), and local activities (including celebrations at her constituency office; round table discussions and meetings with community organizations; annual Christmas parties; summer picnics; community celebrations; banquets; and Remembrance Day ceremonies). Photographs also document Augustine's extensive travel overseas in the Caribbean, the United States, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Asia, Central Asia and the Far East, both in her official capacity as a politician and cabinet member, and as a tourist and traveller.

The fonds contains textual and photographic records of Roland Cloutier’s involvement in Northern Ontario’s lumber industry. It provides information on some of the Hearst area lumber companies and on organizations such as the Hearst Lumbermen’s Association and the Ontario Lumber Manufacturers’ Association. The fonds also includes documents pertaining to the Hearst Forest Management company, the Northern Ontario Development Corporation, and to René Fontaine in his role as a member of the Ontario legislature and minister in the Ontario government. This is complemented by government reports, studies analyzing the situation and needs of the lumber industry and of Northern Ontario’s economy, handbooks relating to the working practices of the industry and maps mostly illustrating cutting rights in the forest of the region.

The fonds consists of textual records of the Otto Pick and Sons Seeds Limited company, a family business and precursor to the Pickseed Group of Companies, which became the largest forage and turf seed company in Canada. The fonds is comprised of 16 ledgers, 5 indexes and an agricultural school report card from Bohemia, with contemporary translation, for Marie Pick (née Jakesova) from when she graduated in 1930. The ledgers, indexes, and certificate with translation are arranged in three series and filed chronologically.

The Adrienne and Ricardo de la Riva fonds attests to Adrienne and Ricardo’s social involvement within the community of Sudbury and highlights their numerous political and cultural accomplishments and interests.

Although the fonds contains few records from Ricardo de la Riva’s medical practice, it does include some records from St. Joseph’s Hospital and the General Hospital, most of which relate to on-call schedules or restructuring changes at these institutions.

Most of the records in this fonds come from city committees, associations, or groups which Ricardo de la Riva was a part of as a city councillor. The records include meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, budgets, maps, and plans which shed light on positions Adrienne and Ricardo de la Riva held on various committees. These records document Sudbury’s political, social, and cultural evolution over the course of more than 28 years.

In addition to records on Francophone education, cultural activities, and services offered by the city, many documents deal with projects that were submitted and carried out. They concern economic development, road development, architectural and urban planning, and various services offered to citizens of the city either by the municipality or by associations, groups, and organizations.

The Flour Mill Museum records document, not only the activities of the museum and its administration, but also partnerships with other local organizations and groups involved in joint projects. There is also extensive documentation on the Flour Mill silos, their history, restoration, and use.

Files of correspondence to and from Ricardo de la Riva’s constituents, as well as correspondence and follow-ups with city employees, attest to the importance de la Riva placed on every letter he received.

Many reports, studies, newspaper clippings, and engineering plans document road rehabilitation in the city, especially in the downtown and Flour Mill area.

Additionally, there are different reports, architectural plans, and committee minutes that document various interventions and changes brought about regarding economic development, area revitalization, building renovations, and parking issues in the Flour Mill. Many projects, including the municipal library project, the establishment of a cultural centre, the possibility of a new arena, and a casino in the downtown core, are well documented and give information on the position taken by de la Riva during these projects.

While the meeting minutes, motions, notes, budget proposals, and other city council documents give information on council operations and bylaws which were passed, they also give information on the internal structure of the city and its relationship with various other levels of government. Several handwritten notes and opinion letters written by Ricardo de la Riva give a glimpse into his vision for the city. The fonds contains a number of records from different city committees such as the zoning committee, planning and development committee, the engineering committee, as well as the Sudbury Airport Review Committee, among others. There is also extensive documentation on community improvement projects in many areas of the city, including the Junction Creek development, accompanied by environmental records from the Nickel District Conservation Authority. Other records contain information on the history of city buildings, their restoration, and heritage value.

Ricardo de la Riva’s activities as part of the Junior Soccer League are also well documented.

The records of the Sudbury Planning Board/Junction Creek fonds attest to the feasibility study for a park at Junction Creek. Although not complete, the records document the development of the project by the Sudbury Planning Board. The maps and drawings depict the site in 1964. The accompanying records give insight on the elements considered in the planning of the project.
