Series consists of records regarding Bill C-108 and C-33, an Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act to protect individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation, Bill C-23, the Modernization of Benefits and Obligations Act, Bill C-250, an Act to amend the Criminal Code to add sexual orientation to the list of prohibited types of hate propaganda included in hate crime legislation, and same-sex marriage bills. The records in this series reflect Robinson’s work toward the passage of these bills. The views of several organizations and members of the public are also documented within the records. The series includes correspondence, press releases, reports, newspaper clippings, notes, charts, agendas, Hansard debates, and submissions to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
