Series consists of textual records such as diaries and correspondence created and or accumulated by Valerie Jackson. Some of the letters and diaries relate to her grandfather Dr. W.J.R Fowler a veterinarian in Guelph. One document is titled “Dr. W.J.R Fowler- a tribute.” Other records pertain to Fowler’s daughter who was Valerie Jackson’s mother such as correspondence.
The fonds consists of one scrapbook documenting Jean Eagles Watson’s activities in the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division.

These letters document Rowell's visits to towns and farms around the province and his strategies to negotiate debt repayment plans with farmers, as well as his observations of his surroundings and experiences in various locations in Manitoba, including Portage La Prairie, Birtle, Winnipeg, Carberry, Brandon, and Shoal Lake.
