This photographs shows the people that gathered for the Ceilidh put on by the heritage day committee to wrap up the sesquicentennial celebrations. The Guelph pipe band performed and dinner was served. Some of those who were in attendance at the head table were premier William Davis, Harry Worton (Wellington South MPP), Mayor Norm Jary, Grant McLelland (Wellington County Warden), Verne McIlwraith (150th committee chairman), 11th field regiments commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Bill Hamill and Colin MacDonald (Heritage Day committee chairman).

This photograph shows Mayor Norm Jary and his wife Jean receiving their Block Parent sign. With them are Gayle Barrick (left, program chairman), and Joyce Sholfield (right, program secretary). The Block Parent Program was a province wide program that allowed participants to put a sign in their window. The sign placed in a window let children know that if they needed assistance they could visit that block parent.
