Documents the public information-sharing of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre during the COVID-19 pandemic beginning March 2020. Daily updates relate to the hospital's readiness and operations, and testing and detection of COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay region. The records include text updates and video interviews with hospital leadership and others.

This series contains records concerning the involvement of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke with St. Joseph’s Hospital in Barrhead, Alberta. The records cover the establishment of the hospital, the administration and operation of the hospital, the transfer of the hospital, and the Sisters’ involvement with the Catholic Hospital Association and the Alberta Hospital Association. Materials include financial records, agreements for the purchase and sale of property, annals, memoirs, pamphlets, booklets, newsletters, lot maps, hospital floor plans, hospital bylaws, correspondence, and photographs. The major topics within the correspondence include establishing and operating the hospital, finances, the purchase and sale of property, construction and renovations, Catholic hospitals and medical ethics in Alberta, the changing role of Sisters in the hospital, and the relinquishing of ownership of the hospital. The photographs are of the hospital and Sisters at various events and locations.

The series consists of records kept by the General Superior office for use in the administration of the community in London, Ontario. Material is primarily from the period during which Sister Margo Ritchie held the office, but it also contains material from when Sister Mary Diesboug and Sister Valerie Van Cauwenburghe held the position. This series contains twelve subseries relating to the operations, missions, and activities of the congregation. This includes the Medaille Retreat House, Josephs’ House, the Detox Centre, My Sister’s Place, St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre, Elizabeth Place, St. Stephen’s House, the Southdown Project, Holy Rosary House in Windsor, the Goderich convent, and the Sisters of St. Joseph in Alberta. There is also material related to the hospitals in London, Sarnia, and Chatham administered by the Sisters and the transfer of operation of said hospitals to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and St. Joseph’s Health Care Society. There is material related to the construction of a new residence, especially concerning the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards of the new building, and relocation of the Sisters from Mount St. Joseph to this new residence.

There is also material related to the various meetings of the congregation, from the more informal Community Days to the more formal Assemblies and Chapters. Chapters are formal congregational meetings where major decisions, such as amalgamation and leadership positions were voted on. There are voting records from the 2011 Special Chapter and the 2009 Oneness Project in this series. There are also reports from the Leadership Circle, Chapters, and committees within the congregation. There is also material from the Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada, an organization made up of all the Congregations of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada. There is material from the Federation and the London congregation’s systemic justice efforts and the Sisters’ efforts towards concerning the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. There are various newsletters from the Federation and the London congregation. The series also includes administrative correspondence and speeches presented by the General Superior to the congregation.

In summary, the series contains letters, reports, speeches, minutes, voting records, newsletters, pamphlets, prayer books, agendas, meeting minutes, memorandums, postcards, photographs, correspondence, timelines and schedules, inventory lists, legal documents, meeting minutes, executive summaries, budget reports, reports, newspaper and magazine clippings, bursary reports, histories, bulletins, designs for stained glass windows, and property appraisals.

Fonds contains two essays about the history of the hospital and a copy of a letter.

The fonds consists of records related to Mary Evans’ research on the Oxford Regional Centre and includes such material as newspaper clippings, newsletters, reports, maps, etc.

The records related to cancer diagnosis and care in Northwestern Ontario, and across Ontario more broadly. Information found in this collection covers a wide variety of material which include, but are not limited to: cancer care prevention, early diagnosis and care, clinical trial notes and lectures, information on screening for cancer and breast cancer. Information regarding the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital (Ethics Committees, Pilot Projects) and the Lakehead University Centre for Health Care can be found within this collection on Cancer Care.

The fonds contains Auxiliary meeting notes, a donations list, a chronology of St. Mary’s Hospital, written histories, newspaper photos, newspaper clippings, invitations, correspondence, reports, a pamphlet, a publication, memos, a photo album, photographs, and constitutions and by-laws.

La collection contient des photos numériques allant de 1898 à 1954. La plupart présente des membres de la famille Coulombe, notamment les parents d’Eveline ainsi que ses frères et sœurs : André, Cécile, Georgette, Léo, Robert et Yvonne. S’y ajoutent quelques photos des voisins et des amies et amis, notamment certaines de la famille de Claude Larose. D’autres illustrent des élèves à l’école Sainte-Thérèse et certaines facettes de la ville de Hearst, à cette époque. S’y greffent quelques documents « souvenirs » que Madame Coulombe-Touchette a conservé, de son enfance à Hearst. On y retrouve notamment un album d’autographes où l’on retrouve la signature de plusieurs des personnes vivant à Hearst au début des années 1940, ainsi que des images religieuses et de la correspondance.

Composé de procès-verbaux, rapports annuels, bulletins d'information du groupe de bénévoles, dossiers de presse et albums de photographies, ce fonds d'archives nous renseigne sur les différentes activités et réalisations de l'Auxiliaire de l'Hôpital Laurentien de Sudbury. Les documents témoignent de l'implication des bénévoles dans le milieu de la santé et ce, plus particulièrement à l'Hôpital Laurentien. Les activités internes du groupe et son rayonnement à l'intérieur du milieu de la santé, tant au niveau régional qu'au niveau provincial, sont aussi documentés. De plus, les documents du fonds d'archives des auxilaires bénévoles, nous renseignent sur la restructuration du milieu hospitalier de la région de Sudbury.

Le fonds contient le registre d’un salon de coiffure dans les années 1940. En plus du nom des clients et des clientes, on retrouve leur lieu d’habitation ainsi que les coûts associés aux services reçus. On y retrouve également des photos datant de 1958. Des infirmières, des aides-infirmières et des religieuses de l’hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst y figurent.

La collection contient des photos illustrant la vie de la famille Collin, de leur arrivée dans la région jusqu’aux années 1960. On y retrouve aussi des photos de la famille Poliquin et de l’école Sainte-Thérèse. Plusieurs d’entre elles mettent également en lumière la vie et le travail des aides-infirmières et de l’ensemble du personnel laïc et religieux à l’hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst, pendant les années 1950.
