Sous-fonds consists of a collection of miscellaneous legal documents pertaining to legal matters in the Province of Ontario. Predominantly, the records in this sous-fonds relate to the ownership, purchase and transfer of land and property in the province, particularly in the City of Toronto, the Township of York, the Township of Muskoka (Lightwood Island), the Township of Normanby, and the City of London (Ont.). Many documents in this sous-fonds pertain to the same plots of land and/or property as they changed ownership over time. Records relating to property owned by the following people appear numerous times throughout the sous-fonds: Adam T. Bell; Louisa Bredin; Fanny Fox; Philipp Hollinger; Benjamin Hunsberger; and George Newton.
