Subseries consists of reports containing information and/or recommendations on the performance, design and operation of equipment. The reports detail the developments of armaments for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) for use on aircrafts and other weaponry at the Air Armament Evaluation Detachment from 1954 to 1963. The reports mainly discuss the various military weapons and equipment for the RCAF’s aircrafts. The major subjects included are the testing of radars; Radar Armament System Exerciser (RASE), the Del Mar Target Tow System and many miscellaneous aircraft parts like voltage testers and depth charges. RCAF aircrafts are briefly mentioned in the context of the weapons that are armed onto them, or that are being tested out.
