Series contains bound final reports for the 1985 International Plowing Match which was held in Elgin County and includes reports from various committees as well as statements of receipts and expenditures. Series also contains loose papers including correspondence, a budget, site map, and copies of a report produced by Don Williams that was submitted to the final report. Includes an annotated photocopy of participants contributing to the Antique and Historical section of the plowing match.

Series contains letters received by the Kettle Valley Pioneers as well as copies of various correspondence sent by them regarding promotional strategies and materials, funding through the Community Action Fund, as well as the Elgin Historical Show committee’s attendance at the Antique Power Association’s annual meeting for antique clubs throughout Southwestern Ontario. Correspondence is arranged chronologically according to the dates of creation.

This series contains records concerning the involvement of the Sisters of St. Joseph in the London diocese in the field of education in St. Thomas, Ontario. While the records mention interactions with the Elgin County Roman Catholic Separate School Board and other schools in St. Thomas, the records in this series are all from or about St. Joseph’s High School. Material includes a feasibility study, yearbooks, news clippings, correspondence, photographs, pamphlets, and drama festival programs. The correspondence primarily concerns administration, funding, alumni events, and the Sisters who worked at the school. The major topics of the material are the Sisters’ employment, administrative concerns, the school’s drama department, and coordination of alumni events. There is also an annotated script for the play TUB by James W. Nichol, which the school performed in 1971.

Edward Frost Records series

Series contains miscellaneous letterhead invoices, receipts and cheques, principally associated with Edward Frost, St. Thomas via Ed Frost Cartage, Draying and Teamining, as well as the St. Thomas Wheel Car Company. Also includes a scrapbook with postcards collected by the Frost family. The Frost family lived at 33 Erie Street in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Series contains various notes and correspondence, a bank deposit slip, a show exhibitor ribbon and an original draft of a report written by Don Williams. Order was imposed to gather together loose papers that were found randomly throughout the records which all relate to the Elgin Historical Show but were not part of a distinct series in the original order.

Events series

The Events series comprises reports, clippings, documentation, and photographic records relating to certain large events that the Engineering Department was called to handle. It consists of 3 files:
-The Timken Plant Flood around the Carr Drain, 1947
-The Mill Creek Viaduct construction, including in-progress construction photographs
-The Governor-General's 1972 visit to Alma College, showing the City Engineer needing to plan detours and decide which roads to close.
