The Grace Hospital ephemera collection is an assembly of material in various formats that have been accumulated by the UHN Archives from a variety of disparate sources including, but not limited to, family members of former staff or students, other repositories, or anonymous donations. Collection consists of photographs and objects. Material in the collection relates to the history of the Grace Hospital and its predecessor, the Toronto Homeopathic Hospital, and its staff or students including the Grace Hospital Training School for Nurses. Material is arranged by accession. No particular order has been imposed by the Archivist.

File 1 contains a 1912 graduation photograph from Grace Hospital Training School for Nurses. File 2 contains the nursing graduation pin for Bernice Marie Charters.

Woodstock sewers fonds

The fonds consist of letters and reports re. sewer work, drainage, estimates, calculations, sewage effluents from factories, etc (1890-1910, nd.); approx. 100 sewer plans/drawings (1899-1917); and 19 sewer permit booklets (1903-1943). Most of the letters and reports are written to the Mayor and County Council from the City Engineer, though some of the correspondence is with the Chief Health Officer of Ontario.

Topics covered in the diaries include: rural life, weather, social activities (literary meetings, box socials), farm work, house work, chores, high school work and activities, and community involvement. A few references are made to people leaving to serve in the Bruce 160th Battalion and war-time matters such as the fuel controller. The entries make references to friends, families and neighbours.
