File consists of a Heritage Recording Report with a written record, photographs, 20 as found drawings, 8 photokey plans and contact sheets of the photographic survey. Also includes the documents in PDF format on CD-ROM and 3.5" floppy disks. Photokey plans are of the basement, first floor, second floor and roof, and exterior of the building. Photographs reflect all ares of the theatre from machinery to interior fixtures and roof and chimney.

UntitledItem is a presentation certificate from the Port Hope Moose Lodge to the Port Hope Hospital. The presentation was made at the Capitol Theatre, March 30, 1938. The cardboard of the back of the frame had the following written on it "Presented January 1938 Oxygen tent presented to the Hospital by Moose L on March 30th at the Capitol Theatre."
UntitledFile consists of a diploma received by M. Isabel Jones St. Louis (1897-1987) on 15th October 1919. Diploma is signed by the president, secretary, superintendent and mission of the Port Hope Hospital Training School for nurses, established in 1916. The diploma was presented to the Port Hope and District Hospital as Ms. St. Louis was the last surviving of that graduating class. It hung in the Port Hope & District Hospital until it closed.

UntitledItem is a poster which advertises the Dominion Day Celebrations organized / sponsored by the Port Hope Lions Club. The programme for Monday July 1 included a parade, band music, Trotting Races, baseball games, bingo, street fairs, horse race wheels, booths. Proceeds from the event were to benefit the Lions Club Children's Welfare and Relief work. A photograph of the Cobourg Kiltie Band is featured on the poster.

Item is a letter written by the Port Hope Methodist Minister John Learoy on 24 May 1886, confirming the marriage of David Haskill and Mary Grace Rowden. Written on church letterhead.
File consists of a series of correspondence sent from County Devon to relatives in Port Hope. Letters written to William Rowden and Mary Grace Rowden, and provide insight into the conditions in rural England, compared to Port Hope. Envelopes are also included in this file. Letters written to William Rowden, addressed to him as "Dear Brother" and to Grace Haskill, addressed as "Dear Niece." The letters are written by Mary Lewis, wife of George Lewis of Bideford, Devon, England and Grace Branch of Bideford, Devon England. Also one written by "Lizzie" to Grace Haskill; addressed "Dear Cousin." Also sisters Grace and Maria are mentioned in the letters. Letters discuss family, health, weather and crops between 1896 and 1910.
