The fonds documents the administrative, educational, and religious functions of Yeshivah Torath Chaim from 1942 to 1977. The 38 files in the fonds include minutes, financial reports, correspondence, legal documents, and enrollment records. Most of the records relate to the school, but there is some documentation and financial records relating to the yeshivah synagogue, and a very little relating to Gan Yelodim kindergarten. The fonds also includes some personal correspondence of Rabbi Price.

The fonds consists of minute and cash books, Tweedsmuir history books, photographs, house histories, local histories, and subject files pertaining to the activities of the Yarker-Colebrook Women’s Institute. There are two Tweedsmuir histories in the fonds. One of the Tweedsmuirs is more traditional in scope; it focuses on the history of the villages and the Women’s Institute. The traditional Tweedsmuir contains photographs of the village of Colebrook, including pictures of Main Street before the fire, newspaper articles, information and photographs of boys who served in World War II, information from the Canada Directory pertaining to the area, from 1857 and 1858, pictures of past Yarker-Colebrook Presidents, a history of Yarker, including its settlement and the evolution of the Simcoe Falls, and a history of Colebrook. The second Tweedsmuir is a collection of newspaper clippings and was mainly assembled by Mrs. William Jackson. It contains a number of articles about the Royal Family, including photographs from magazines. It also has some history of Women’s Institute work, articles about World War I and World War II, a history of Brookside School, as well as photographs of members and programmes. Fonds contains the technical and operational files relating to the Canadian Marconi Co./Canadian Overseas Telecommunications Corporation operation of the Yamachiche wireless receiving station in Yamachiche QC, 1913-1973. It includes correspondence 1925-1931, some operational files, technical files on wireless receivers at the station and blueprints of receiver schematics 1934-1952; manuals and instruction books for receivers made by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Co., Canadian Marconi Co., Hasler Ltd., Northern Electric Co., Philips Telecommunications etc., 1942-1964. Operational files from the Canadian Overseas Telecommunications Corp. which include its corporate memos and procedures and various types of weekly and monthly technical reports, 1955-1971. A selection of logs for telegraph, telephone and graphs for wireless circuits to major cities in Europe, Asia and South America, 1963-1973. Also trade literature and catalogues produced by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd. and other manufacturers, 1927-1963.

Two publications of The Conservationist and a newsletter of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce are also included.

Wyly Grier family fonds

Fonds consists of records created by Edmund Wyly Grier, and his son, Crawford Grier. Records created by Sir Edmund Wyly Grier include correspondence with family, friends, and other painters on personal and business matters, as well as Christian Science. The fonds also includes sketchbooks, diaries, account books, a draft autobiography, and other published and unpublished articles. It also includes records of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, of which Edmund Wyly Grier was President between 1929 and 1939. There are many photographs of Wyly's paintings, as well as a few original paintings and many drawings and sketches, some in notebooks. Records created by Crawford Grier include correspondence with the family about his education and W.W.I experiences, letters from former pupils, and correspondence and diaries pertaining to his assignment in Washington to the Directorate of Ordinance Services. The records have been arranged into three series, and many sub-series.

Belcher ([184-]-1915), architect, civil engineer, and surveyor; World War I; the Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and Pontypool Railway Company; the Trent Valley Navigation Steamship Company; the Trent Valley Canal; and the day-to-day operation of the family lumbering and cattle/buffalo enterprise.

Fonds consists of records of W.T. McMullen's law firm, as well as accounts of a farm and correspondence received by McMullen as the Commanding Officer of the 22nd Regiment, Woodstock. Records of the law firm include subject files (including agreements, by-laws, indentures, notices, power of attorney documents, and client case files), letter books containing letterpress copies of letters and accounts, litigation files containing correspondence and other records arranged alphabetically by the surname of the plaintiff, estate files arranged alphabetically by client surname, account books and loose accounting records, day books, and legal diaries. Fonds also includes some bank books, a farm account book (recording receipts and expenditures), and correspondence received by Lieutenant Colonel W.T. McMullen, arranged alphabetically by subject.
