This fonds contains one folder of notices including one from the Royal Commission for National Development in the Arts, Letters and Sciences, an outgoing notice pertaining to the addition of Kay Homan to the CJBQ staff, an invitation to a Radio Club Dance from 1958, the Christmas Eve program and holiday wishes for 1959, a newspaper clipping with a photograph of Sports Editor Jack Devine contemplating using a Pogo Stick in the 1969 Walk-a-thon, and a blank cue sheet for the weatherperson. The publications folder contains an advertising brochure entitled, "The Things We'll Do This Summer," several copies of the serial 'CJBQ cues' and the 'Voice of the Bay of Quinte' newsletter. The final folder contains information pertaining to the Grove Island archaeological work and reporting done by News Editor Gerald Boyce.

The fonds consists of two books plus banking records and statements, invoices, a postcard, phone bills and two flyers. Book 1 is an account ledger with name index spanning from 1932-1940. Book 2 is a notebook from 19 March 1940- 18 Sept. 1944. Other records include a statement from Sept. 21, 1936 plus 10 pages from an accounts ledger, no date, possibly recording household goods sold from the Pitman's store; two Canadian Bank of Commerce vinyl folders; seven “Long Distance Service” phone bill statements; two receipts; four loose pages from a petty accounts book; two envelopes; card from “Tuck” to Mrs. J. W. C. Mikel fonds

This collection represents materials originating or used by W.C. Mikel. The first folder contains three speeches delivered during his time as Police Magistrate and Mayor. The next series of folders contains references and sources for his volume The City of Belleville History. The second folder contains correspondence regarding the book. Folders three through ten contain the notes Mikel used for each chapter. Folder eleven contains the plans for “Quinte City" and documents from the Town Planning Institute among others. Folder twelve contains unattributed reference material and general research for the book. Folder thirteen contains Mikel's collection of material for the 1924 United Empire Loyalist celebration which was held during his first term as Mayor. Folder fourteen contains Mrs. Mikel's obituary, a letter from Mikel to the Bank of Montreal, and a letterhead from the period he served as Police Magistrate. Folder fifteen contains three copies of his book, Godlove Mikel. The sixtenth folder contains a variety of newspaper clippings.
