Item is a bound volume entitled "A Simcoe Relic", containing material collected by Rev. Dr. Henry Scadding. The volume includes a letter of Elizabeth Simcoe (1766-1850) to John Graves Simcoe (1752-1806), first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada, describing a trip on the St. Lawrence River from Kingston in September, 1796 (with sketches); orders of the day of Fort Miami (Ohio), for August, 1794; newspaper clipping regarding an address by Scadding on "The Historic Past of Fort Toronto", 1886; and, a booklet entitled "The Necessity of Physical Culture to Literary Men, and Especially to Clergymen" by Edward Reynolds, 1835.
