The fonds documents Clayton Ruby's activities as a lawyer and activist. Records consist of professional correspondence and subject files. Subjects file topics include: the Law Society, Advocates Society, Amnesty International, Conferences, Law Reform Commission, Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, and the Charter of Rights Education Fund. Also included are various photographic portraits of Clayton Ruby.

Davenport-Perth United Church (Toronto, Ont.)The fonds consists of typescripts for two of David Bakan's publications: the first title, 'Freud and the tradition of Jewish mysticism,' (1957) includes handwritten changes to the typescript in pencil and ink. The second title is a typescript copy of 'And they took themselves wives: the emergence of patriarchy in western civilization,' (1979). It has been copy-edited, showing/the editorial work of more than one hand, as well as handwritten additions to the text.
