The fonds consists of typescripts for two of David Bakan's publications: the first title, 'Freud and the tradition of Jewish mysticism,' (1957) includes handwritten changes to the typescript in pencil and ink. The second title is a typescript copy of 'And they took themselves wives: the emergence of patriarchy in western civilization,' (1979). It has been copy-edited, showing/the editorial work of more than one hand, as well as handwritten additions to the text.

There is also material from the Osgoode Law School Faculty Council, including agendas (1959-1966) and minutes (1964-1971), memoranda, the Dean's Annual Report (1962-1966) and reports of committees. The fonds includes records of; the Academic Policy Committee, including curriculum evaluations; the Admissions Committee; the Constitutional Committee; the Committee on Faculty Administration; the Special Committee on Future Enrolment; and the Special Committee on Organization and Function of the Faculty Council. There are also papers relating to the affiliation of Osgoode with York University, including reports on the affiliation, building plans, committee reports, statements on programme, enrolment and facility requirements of the Law School, and related material.

In addition, there are recordings on audio cassettes and audio reels of Scottish folk songs and customs, old-time fiddling, songs of the Scottish regiment and of other subjects.

The fonds consists of Fred Matthews Young's working files for his legislative responsibilities. The largest part of the fonds contains files related to transportation and especially highway traffic, which reflects Young's role on the Select Committee on Highway Traffic. The files are divided into subjects related to transportation (safety, lighting, re-sale of automobiles, automobile prices, alternatives to the automobile), and include reports of government agencies, briefs to the Select Committee and other committees, copies of bills, copies of Hansard (Ontario), advertisements, press releases and background material. In addition, there is material on several other issues before the Legislative Assembly including smoking, housing (including public housing), election expenses, reformatories, municipal affairs, and material relating to the Revenue Ministry, including material on land transfer taxes, provincial income taxes, the government estimates, securities law, the Corporations Act and related subjects. This material includes reports, submissions, statements of ministers and members, copies of speeches, Hansard, copies of bills and amendments and related material.
