The fonds contains documents related to the Kapuskasing Credit Union from 1939 to 2005. Found amongst the documents are financial records, administrative documentation, correspondence, official publications, publicity and press releases, regulations and manuals, as well as printed photographs and negatives.

The fonds contains records of the businesses founded by Ernest Gosselin in northern Ontario. Most of the documents relate to the various properties that belonged to him in the Geraldton area.

The fonds contains textual and photographic records of Roland Cloutier’s involvement in Northern Ontario’s lumber industry. It provides information on some of the Hearst area lumber companies and on organizations such as the Hearst Lumbermen’s Association and the Ontario Lumber Manufacturers’ Association. The fonds also includes documents pertaining to the Hearst Forest Management company, the Northern Ontario Development Corporation, and to René Fontaine in his role as a member of the Ontario legislature and minister in the Ontario government. This is complemented by government reports, studies analyzing the situation and needs of the lumber industry and of Northern Ontario’s economy, handbooks relating to the working practices of the industry and maps mostly illustrating cutting rights in the forest of the region.

Fonds consists of one folder of administrative records including the incorporating papers, the organizational rules and regulations, and a copy of the 1954 Milk Industry Act of Ontario, one folder containing various Foxboro Cheese Factory financial records and two books of minutes from annual, directorial shareholders meetings.

The fonds consists of photographic glass slides depicting the businesses, town facilities, and recent residential expansions of the Town of Whitby in 1986.

Fonds consists of the business records created or acquired by George Metcalfe for his cabinetry business, including stencils, books and business documents. Also consists of records of the 8th Boy Scouts Troop of London, including books, photographs and clippings, correspondence and test information.

Fonds consists of pharmaceutical prescription books and "archive prescription transfer cases" from 1863 to 1951. Due to changes in laws and regulations governing the sale and reporting of pharmaceuticals, the records were organized to comply with such changes (e.g., narcotics prescriptions, and prescriptions for which dispensing fees were charged). Fonds consists of textual and photographic records accumulated by Mr. Harry Moscoe during the 1940 to 1947 period. The majority of these records document Mr. Moscoe's activities as Executive Director of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Eastern Region, War Efforts Committee. A few files also document examples of his personal, financial and legal office activities, while still living in Kirkland Lake and later in Montreal. War Efforts Committee records focus on the CJC's responsibilities for: Servicemen's Centres in Halifax, Montreal, Moncton and St. John, Red Cross blood drives, tracking Jewish officers, Jewish casualties, and regular meetings of the War Efforts Committee. Also here are extensive newspaper clippings documenting Jewish servicemen' activities, casualties, heroics and decorations. Of special note is a 20 x 25 cm b&w photograph within File 18, "Jewish Chaplains". The image features seven uniformed Canadian Jewish chaplains who served during the Second World War. They are: Rabbi Abraham Babb, Rabbi David Monson, Rabbi Oscar Fassman, Rabbi Charles Bender, Rabbi Samuel Cass, Rabbi Jacob Eisen and Rabbi Morrris Casriel Katz.

Fonds consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, internal communication, volunteer service recognition, Information Burlington 25th anniversary public awareness committee minutes and City of Burlington Correspondence.

Fonds consists of eighty seven (87) invoices, cancelled cheques, and receipts pertaining to Irving Margles' clothing store in downtown Port Hope, 1918-1936. Most of the cheques were written to suppliers of Margles' store, including a few related to Port Hope: Port Hope Hydro Electric Commission, Weatherproof Rubber Coat Company, William Currie, International Association of Lions Clubs (Port Hope), Arcade Chain Stores (O. Pattenick, Prop.), W. J. Highfield Victoria Dairy.

Material contained in the Rexe fonds spans the years 1969 to 2005 with the bulk of material dating from 1979 to 1991. The collection contains materials pertaining to Rexe’s personal and professional matters, including material from his election campaigns beginning in the late 1970s to his work on Peterborough City Council 1980-87 and later 2003-06. The collection contains much correspondence, City Council memoranda and meeting agendas, planning documentation and reports, news clippings, personal notes, PCG reports and studies, court transcripts, legal invoices, and more.

The collection is organized into four series, Series B and C comprising the bulk of the collection.

Series A contains materials related to Rexe’s early teaching years and career(s) before re-entering politics in the 1980s.

Series B contains materials from his years on City Council 1980-87, and is the largest and most extensive part of the collection.

Series C gathers materials pertaining to his legal matters, particularly Kazowski vs. Rexe (see biographical note, below); and finally,

Series D contains materials from his later career(s), including his planning and consulting work (with Public Consulting Group, Inc.), his years teaching at Kenner Collegiate and Crestwood Secondary schools, his graduate work at Trent University, and his return to city politics in the early 2000s.

The fonds documents the activities of James Perrin as a member of the Canadian National Exhibition Association Sports Committee, and his public relations work on behalf of the Canadian National Exhibition's Sports and Agriculture Departments.

The fonds is divided into five series. This arrangement reflects the original order of the records as they were maintained by James Perrin. MG 3-0-1, Sports Committee Files, consists of agendas, minutes, correspondence, questionnaires, registration forms and photographic prints pertaining to the Canadian National Exhibition Association, Power Boat Committee, a sub-committee of the Sports Committee.

Series MG 3-0-2, CNE Publicity Files, consists of correspondence, news releases, and photographic prints documenting the promotion of various CNE events such as Aquarama, Dog Swim, Mayor's Bathtub Derby, Horse Show, Dairy Princess, and the Miss CNE contest by James G. Perrin & Associates.

Series MG 3-0-3, Photographs, consists of photographic prints of the Miss CNE contest, and various waterfront activities. Series MG 3-0-4, Scrapbooks, consists of two volumes, dated 1975-1980 and 1980-1981, containing photographic prints, newspaper clippings, and printed material. Series MG 3-0-5, Artifacts, consists of one item, a 1971 CNE Bathtub Derby trophy awarded to James Perrin in appreciation of his work on behalf of the competition.

The fonds consists of records that reflect the different roles that Janet played throughout her life as well as the various activities and functions she performed throughout the community. The fonds is arranged into five series and then various subseries, all of which reflect Janet’s diverse activities.

The majority of the records are textual (i.e. minutes, reports, correspondence, published material, newspapers, etc.) although there is also a sizable photograph collection as well as some maps and plans and even artwork. This fonds consists of John Peirson’s diaries with enclosures, for the years: 1888, 1892-1919, 1921-1925, and 1927. His brief daily journal entries include information related to his family, political life, rural life, personal financial information, social engagements, church meetings, weather and farm operations and activities, including ploughing, sowing and the sale of animals. Mr. Peirson also makes mention of world events, including the sinking of the Titanic and the end of the Great War.

Journals after 1919 each continue to have the name “John Peirson” written on the title page, sometimes with the name of the person who gave the diary to him as a gift; however, most entries in those journals appear to have been written either by John’s daughter-in-law, Catherine (Black) Peirson, and/or his daughter, Mary Ann (Peirson) Hilborn, both of whom were living in houses on the homestead with John. These journals include references to “father” and his health. Other topics include social activities, Women’s Institute meetings, social visits, family life, and some financial information.

Enclosures in the diaries, such as invoices, statements and newspaper clippings, reflect some of the businesses in the community, such as W.A. Gerolamy, grocer; J.W. Chittick Burgoyne General Store; and The Tara Creamery. John Peirson’s involvement with the Burgoyne Cheese Company, and family events reported in the newspaper up to 1937 are also reflected in the enclosures.

This fonds consists of financial records, ships logs and Crown land patents created by and/or belonging to Captain John Spence and his sons, reflecting some of their personal and business dealings.

The fonds contains the papers of John S. Turnbull of Belleville, Ontario. Enclosed in the first file is a description of the property of a Mr. Forrin; a notice instructing Mr. Turnbull to pay Mr. James Anderson eleven pounds, ten shillings by Mr. James Turnbull; and a description of the west side of Front Street. The second file consists of items relating to Turnbull's estate including a list of properties he owned, a list of personal effects, the last will and testament of Margaret Campbell, the first and final wills of John Turnbull, and documents pertaining to a dispute over his estate by his family after his death, there is also a map of mineral reserves in Marmora. The third file is composed of various real estate contracts, the fourth file consists of real estate deeds, while the fifth file is made up of real estate leases.
