Fonds consists primarily of records created or received by Alexander Morris and his family, particularly his father William Morris and his uncle James Morris. Records have been arranged in chronological order, and consist of incoming and outgoing correspondence and other records, of a personal, family ,business, legal, and official nature. Included are land transaction records, mortgages, bonds, receipts, deeds and mining leases, articles of agreement, legal records, reports, and drafts of several of Alexander Morris' speeches. Fonds also contains a scrapbook compiled by Alexander Morris, relating mostly to political matters in Perth. Additional material was later added by Clyde Bell, curator of the Perth Historical Museum. This later material relates to the early history of Perth, and the formation of the Perth museum.

Fonds consists of material documenting Alexander Ross' activities as the Financial Superintendent at the Canadian Military Headquarters. The files cover every aspect of Canadian expenditures in the United Kingdom. Includes the Deputy Minister's working papers on a variety of subjects, including the many committees in which Ross was involved, as well as the Deputy Minister's files related to the settlement of overseas finances after the Second World War. Topics under negotiation included mutual aid, accommodation, supplies, equipment, services and currency rates. Also includes miscellaneous documents concerning the First World War, and working files produced in the preparation of the annual budget from the 1920s to the early 1950s. Fonds is comprised of the following series:

Fonds consists of the personal and business records of Alexander Stickler. Fonds includes Stickler's school exercise books as well as personal correspondence with relatives in Scotland. Fonds also includes records from his wharf and storage business such as ledgers, cashbooks, waybills, manifests and steamer accounts. In addition, fonds contains letterbooks of the purser of the steamer, the St. Francis. Fonds also contains 109 photographs. Subjects include Alexander Stickler, his family and Glengarry county industries.

Fonds consists of glass plate negatives, lantern slides, celluloid negatives, prints and textual material produced by A.T. Brown. Subject material of the fonds pertains primarily to events, scenes and people of Acton, Ontario ca. 1890-1920.

Included in the fonds are 1604 glass plate negatives, featuring informal portraits of local people as well as photographs of houses, buildings, mills, factories, local churches, the Acton railway station, bridges, structure fires, outdoor activities, a Native Indian encampment, local military groups, a train wreck, ships, ferries, local events such as parades, and sporting events and groups. As well, there are photographs of Toronto, including the Second Great Fire of Toronto of 1904, as well as scenes from rural areas and the area known as Cottage Country.

Fonds includes 47 glass plate positives and lantern slides. Subjects are virtually the same as those of the glass plate negatives, although fewer in number. These include scenes of various Acton, Ontario buildings, scenes from Cottage Country, informal portraits of people, groups and animals, as well as photographs of sporting events, concerts, parades and other public events.

Also included in the fonds are 670 prints, essentially representative of the same subjects as of the glass plate negatives, glass plate positives and lantern slides.

Fonds consists of minutes, registers and other records of Alexandra Presbyterian Church, Brantford, Ontario. These records, which are predominantly on microfilm, cover the dates c.1840-1994. Specifically, the fonds consists of Session minutes (1845-1991); baptisms (1847); communion rolls (c.1840-1870); minutes of the Presbyterial Commission appointed to deal with the question of church extension (1900-1901); two congregational history books (one written in 1945 and the other in 1994); annual reports for 1953 and 1987; an Order of Service for the 100th Anniversary "Mortgage Burning" Ceremony, October 28th, 1945; and a pastoral letter written in 1979 by the Minister, The Rev. Robert Robinson, and the Clerk of Session, Mr. Douglas Hayman, concerning the dispute between the Brant Board of Education and the Elementary School Teachers.

This fonds consists of records created or accumulated by Alf Hales in his capacity as a Member of Parliament, a local politician, a Kiwanis Club President and member, and a Guelph business owner. The records document the federal elections in which Alf was a candidate, the financial and promotional activities of the Hales Meat Market, and various social functions that he participated in with the Guelph Kiwanis Club. A large part of the fonds is comprised of scrapbooks assembled by, or on behalf of, Alf Hales that contain newspaper clippings, correspondence, and photographs.
