The business records document the editorial function of the magazine, as well as its efforts to achieve financial sustainability. The photographs illustrate an international community of permforming artists over several decades, as well as the clubs and concert halls at which they performed. It contains material that documents his academic and professional work as a nuclear physicist including course outlines, notes, essays and offprints of articles authored or co-authored by Vassanji.

Fonds consists of musical recordings on one 1/4" audio reel, performed by Deva Prasad Das on vocals and mardal with Shankaran on flute. These performances were intended to accompany the Deba Prasad Das style of Odissi dance. Consists of three separate performances: "Nindata Chandana" Abhinaya, Ashtapadi (an expression-based dance); "Natangi" and a Boomija folk dance from Orissa. These recordings were made to accompany performances by Sukanya Rahman.
Also includes four VHS recordings of performances by Rahman in various venues in the 1990s.

Collection consists of publications, policy statements, research reports, conference and educational documents, and newsletters accumulated by Professor Linda Briskin in the course of her research on women and equity in organized labour in Canada. The documents were published by or about local, provincial, and national organizations, including the Canadian Labour Congress, provincial federations of labour, Canadian and United Auto Workers, Canadian Air Line Employees' Association, Canada Employment Immigration Union, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, the Committee for Cleaners' Rights, International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Metro Labour Council, Union of Provincial Government Employees, Canadian Union of Public Employees, Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, Public Service Alliance of Canada, United Steelworkers of Canada, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, and the Windsor Hospital Clerical Workers Union of Canada. The collection deals with equity in collective bargaining units, including issues of sisterhood and solidarity, education, human rights, anti-racism, aboriginal issues, affirmative action, violence against women, and the impact of technological change. The documents are arranged into files by organization, and they reflect the equity initiatives undertaken by unions to transform organizational practice and culture in order to ensure fairness and representation for women and members of other equity-seeking groups.

Fonds consists of research sources, articles, reports, publications, political ephemera, correspondence and maps related to Wurfel's activities as a researcher in South East Asia. In particular, the materials relate to research funded by SSHRC between 1984-1985 to study of Japan and the Philippines and a 1994-1995 Mombusho grant to study Japanese NGOS in SE Asia, although there is material relating to earlier field research in the 1950s. Materials include research materials and resources specifically dealing with the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma/Myanmar and Indonesia including the work of NGO (Non-governmental organizations) in these countries, the reputation and imagery of the Japanese in the Philippines, agrarian policies and reforms, foreign policy, and federal elections in the Philippines.

Also included are miscellaneous course material, book reviews written by Black, York University's Office of the Status of Women material including a run of "The Second Decade", publication lists created by Black, documents regarding the establishment of the Women's Studies programmes at York, and the enhancement of the Nellie Langford Rowell Library at York.
