This photograph shows Mr. and Mrs. George Robertson when they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They were married at the Dublin Street United Church in 1927. They have one daughter, June, married to Jim and three grandchildren. Mr. Robertson worked at the Bank of Montreal for 24 years before retiring four years previous.
This photograph shows Alex (Sandy) Robertson, the founder of the Highland Games in Fergus with his wife Margaret. Robertson proposed the games 32 years previous to this to the Chamber of Commerce. The town wanted to plan an event and he suggested the games because of the Scottish heritage of Fergus.
Ida Price was a resident at The Elliot and this photograph was taken on her 102nd birthday. Her philosophy was to "Live for today, have faith for tomorrow." She was born Ida Thompson in Michigan but her parents moved to Canada in 1880 and settled in Garafraxa before moving to Guelph. She married George Price in 1896 and became a widow in 1956. She helped found the Ladies Aid Society at the First Baptist Church and was its vice president.

Howard Grisley was a performer and a radio broadcaster in the 1930's. He was raised by musical parents and would often play parties and shows in Guelph until the late hours. By 1933 he had his own radio show on CKCR out of Walper House in Kitchener. He also travelled with a band called the Conklin shows.
