Nicklin, various City of Guelph officials, the federal government, and local residents and businesses concerning building and plumbing inspections in the City of Guelph. Included in this sub-series are federal Dominion Bureau of Statistics building permit census return forms, correspondence between home and business owners about building or plumbing deficiencies found during inspections, plans, drawings and information regarding building code updates. These records document the role of the City Engineer, as building inspector, in enforcing the City's building code and monitoring of the progress of construction work initiated under City building permits.
