Collection consists of a record book of the 18th battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, dating 1915-1920, containing names of dead, wounded, medal recipients, and those on leave. Collection also includes original (1928) and printed (1951) nominal rolls of the battalion association, as well as a 1952 memorial booklet with honours and awards.

Collection consists of captioned photographs contributed by Alan Noon to the Western News in a weekly photofeature entitled "The Way We Were". This feature ran from 2001 to 2012. Photographs were originally taken by London Free Press , Western News photographers, Al Noon or photos within Western Archives holdings and other privately held photographs. Noon researched and wrote each caption; these are found in the scope and content notes for each photograph.

Collection consists of records of John Norton as well as research materials created and acquired by J. McE Murray and Carl F. Klinck in the course of researching the life and work of John Norton. Included is an original diary of John Norton containing an early version of parts of his 1816 journal. Also included are transcriptions of the diary and Norton's letters (transcribed by Murray) as well as photocopies of the manuscript of his 1816 journal (photocopied by Klinck). Collection also contains research notes, correspondence, and clippings relating to Murray's and Klinck's research.

A book with the title "pathology" no dates; A book titled "Medical jurisprudence and sanitary science" no date; A Day Book with the date range January 1959-June 10 1970; a Day Book dated February 01, 1909 - April 11, 1914; a Day Book dated June 1 1898-September 25 1901; a Ledger Book, with dates of 1896 & 1897; a Day Book with the dates January 8 1882- October 6 1882.

This collection contains archival material related to the Vidal and Nisbet families of Sarnia. Graphic material (photographs, photographic plates, silhouettes, albums, artwork), newspaper materials, correspondence (letters, letter books, postcards), personal records (military, legal,marriage, wills, financial), diaries and biographical histories are included. Family members with a prominent presence in the collection include Charlotte Vidal Nisbet, Alexander Vidal, and Richard Emeric Vidal.

This artificial collection contains more than 6,000 images, mainly of London Ontario and southwestern Ontario region. Subjects include: buildings and streetscapes, civic events, exhibitions and royal visits, farm scenes, industrial scenes and railways, natural and other disasters, individuals (officials, academics etc.), groups (workers, school children, etc.), recreational scenes and sporting events. The images were largely removed from their original context in family or other fonds for ease of item level description.
