Subjects of the photographs can include building exteriors and interiors, groups, and special events.

Collection consists primarily of copies of incoming correspondence from missionaries in Western Canada to Convenors of: the Presbyterian Church of Canada Foreign Missions Committee, 1858-1861; Canada Presbyterian Church Foreign Mission Committee Western Section, 1861-1875; and Presbyterian Church in Canada Foreign Mission Committee Western Section, 1876-1888.
