This picture shows Mayor Ralph Smith presenting proclamation to Lt.-Col. Donald Ingram of the 11th Field Regiment giving the Regiment freedom of the city. The presentation was made in St. George's Square in a traditional ceremony.
Normal life slowed almost to a stand still in Guelph and area as the first major snow storm blanketed the district totalling to about 10 inches. This storm completely exhausted the 1975 snow clearing budget. This is a picture of a tree during the storm as the white stuff does have his merits.

This photograph shows the exterior of Merton Mill that was converted into apartments by Wellington Developments Limited. The mill was originally built and used for splitting peas as part of the process for making pea meal bacon. After that it was a Do-It Recycling depot. It was given a heritage award plaque by Professor Gordon Couling and the Guelph Arts Council.

This photograph shows Mrs. Anne Jamieson, seen with her son Bill, celebrating her 102nd birthday. Nurses at the nursing home where Mrs. Jamieson resided said that she sang every morning for one hour in front of a piano.
