Biografie
Wilfred Harold Reeve was born in Durham County, Ontario to William Reeve and Emaline Thomas on 7 Nov 1900. He married Florence Muriel Bennett (b. 21 Nov 1900; d. 15 Aug 1993), daughter of Paul Bennett and Pauline Greenaway, on 26 Aug 1925. The pair had two(?) children: William, and Dorothy Jane. Dorothy Jane Reeve (d. 5 Jan 2003) married Donald Saxon McColl on 28 Jul 1956 in Port Hope. They had two children Andrew & Beverly. Harold served as Reeve of Hope Township, was an avid bird-watcher, and wrote several research papers on the history of Hope. He died on 27 Nov 1974.
Geschiedenis beheer
Donor was the grandchild of Harold Reeve, daughter of Dorothy (Jane) McColl (nee Reeve). The documents were retained by the family after the death of Dorothy in 2003.
Bereik en inhoud
Series consists of clippings, notes, correspondence and a scrapbook used personally by H. Reeve; the records have been arranged into five (5) files based on original order. It includes: (1) Bird Watching Notes; (2) Notes - Nature (Northumberland County); (3) Correspondence; (4) Scrapbook (see separate entry); (5) Personal (miscellaneous clippings, etc.).
