Administrative history

Hagersville Pastoral Charge was established in 1925, formerly Methodist; it included Springvale. Hullsville Wesleyan Methodist Church was established ca. 1862, formerly Nanticoke Circuit; it included Osborne, Zion Church in Haldimand Township, Decewsville, Cheapside, Ballsville, and was discontinued in 1874 when the Methodist Church Canada was formed. Hagersville Methodist Circuit was established in 1874 when the Methodist Church Canada was formed; it included Osborne, Springvale, Oneida, Hullsville, Garnet, Ballsville, Decewsville, and was discontinued in 1925 when the United Church was formed. Hagersville United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist. Springvale United Church was established in 1925, formerly Methodist.

Fonds consists of records of Hullsville Wesleyan Methodist Circuit (includes York Circuit, Seneca Circuit, Nanticoke, Walpole, Osborne, Zion Church on Haldimand Township, Decewsville, Cheapside, Jarvis, Ballsville), 1838-1973; records, including marriages, 1896-1924, of Hagersville Methodist Circuit (includes Springvale, Osborne, Oneida, Hullsville, Garnet, Ballsville, Decewsville), 1872-1925; circuit register of Hagersville Pastoral Charge (includes Hagersville Methodist Circuit, Springvale), 1921-1945; records of Hagersville United Church (includes Hagersville Methodist Church), 1893-1994; Sunday School minutes of Springvale United Church (includes Springvale Methodist Church), 1898-1939.
