Guelph Mercury
Series consists of photographs of various buildings in Guelph and Wellington County such as banks, hotels, community centers, town halls, post offices and libraries. Photographs also illustrate construction, renovation and demolition activities and in some cases activities taking place within those structures. Of note are photographs of buildings that were demolished during the 1960s such as the old Mahoney home, the Carnegie Public library and the city market building. The John McCrae home and its restoration are also featured in this series. Included are residential homes and apartment buildings built in the 1840s, 1860s, and 1880s respectively.
