Biographical history

George Gray was a resident of St. Thomas from 1909-1938. He was the Principal of St. Thomas Collegaite Institute from 1932-1938. He was then appointed high school inspector for the Ontario Department of Education and held that role until 1954. Gray was married to Ann (nee Duncan), and had two sons, Duncan and Jack. His donation of personal letters from former students who served in both world wars were used as teaching tools at Parkside Collegiate Institute. Additionally, Gray played an active role in the creation of the Elgin County Pioneer Museum.

Gray passed away November 8, 1975, at age 90 in Toronto, Ontario.
